Psychiatric Medication Management in West Virginia

Careful, ongoing medication management — the right medication, at the right dose, reviewed regularly.

Sunrise over mountains rising above the clouds — clarity and stability through careful medication management in West Virginia

Good medication management is more than a prescription. It's an ongoing conversation: Is the medication working? Are side effects getting in the way? Does the plan still fit your life? At Rass Psychiatry & Wellness Services, medication management is built on regular follow-up and honest discussion — so your treatment keeps working for you, not the other way around.

How we help

  • Thorough initial evaluation before any prescription
  • Regular follow-up visits to review response, side effects, and interactions
  • Careful dose adjustments and, when needed, safe transitions between medications
  • Deprescribing support when a medication is no longer serving you
  • Coordination with your primary care provider and pharmacist

What to expect

  1. 1

    Full review

We go over your diagnoses, current and past medications, what worked, what didn't, and what you're hoping for.

  2. 2

    Plan together

You'll know what each medication is for, what to expect, and when we plan to reassess.

  3. 3

    Monitor and adjust

Follow-ups are scheduled at intervals that fit your stability — more often when things are changing, less often once you're doing well.

Medication Management — FAQs

How often will I need follow-up visits?

It depends on your situation. Visits are more frequent when starting or changing medication, and can be spaced out once you're stable. Controlled substances require regular follow-up by law and by good practice.

Can you take over medications prescribed by another provider?

In most cases, yes. We'll review your history and records first, and continue, adjust, or taper medications based on how you're actually doing.

Do you offer telehealth medication management?

Yes — most follow-up visits can be done by secure video visit anywhere in West Virginia. Some medications and situations require periodic in-person visits, and we'll tell you when that applies.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

A list of your current medications (with doses), any recent records you can share, your pharmacy information, and your insurance card.
